HARNESS their energy!

Professional Dog Running
Service in Kirkland, WA

We started by being the fastest walkers on the Eastside, and now we’re doubling down to meet growing demand.

For many Eastsiders, returning to a busy routine means finding less time for their dog’s exercise. Between work, family, and personal commitments, fitting in consistent enrichment can be tough.

Whether you’re back in the office or prioritizing personal time, we help restore the balance with high-energy runs tailored to your dog’s needs. So you can come home to a calm, happy companion, ready to enjoy the rest of your day.

distance matters

Breeds of all sizes need consistent strenuous exercise.

All dogs need consistent, strenuous exercise, but some breeds require more than a casual walk. While a 2.5-mile-per-hour stroll might suffice for many dogs, even small working breeds need structured, high-energy exercise to stay happy and healthy.

If you have a high-drive dog, you might not realize they’re under-exercised just because you walk them regularly. We provide the intense, goal-driven workouts they crave by giving them the “job” they need to feel fulfilled.

SETTLE THEM DOWN

Why Dog Running?

Our clients value their time and peace of mind. Adding dog running to your dog’s routine isn’t just a luxury; it’s a game-changer for both you and your dog.

Your Dog Will Remember Us:
Dogs are creatures of habit, and when we show up, they’ll remember. Our clients are often surprised to see their dogs eagerly waiting for our arrival, knowing the exact time and day of the week we’re coming. It’s a routine they look forward to!

Your Dog Will Be Tired: Tiring your dog out on weekends is one thing, but regular, routine runs change the game. When we find the right balance of exercise and frequency, even high-drive working dog(s) can become “couch potatoes”.

Your Dog Will Be Easier to Live With:
Does your dog have destructive tendencies? That pent-up energy can often lead to unwanted behaviors, especially in active breeds. Whether it’s chewing your slippers or pacing the house, dog running helps redirect that energy into something productive. A tired dog is a well-behaved dog!

How Does this work?

We use online scheduling to make booking easier for you and your runner.
Here’s what our process looks like for new clients:

Step One

Book a MEet and greet

The first step is to either book, or reach out with any questions if you needed some questions answered beforehand.

Step Two

Meet your runner

Our runner will meet you in your home and assess your dog(s) fitness level and capacity for exercise.

Step Three

First run

When you book a consultation, you will have the option of adding on a run at that time, so the first run takes place on the same day (provided your runner deems it safe to do so).

Your runner will have post-run insights into suggested intensity and frequency of runs for your dog.

Frequently Asked Questions:

We can if you want, but we typically run from your house and build a route this way. Coupled with the rain, driving to the trail can add about 45 minutes to the visit. We’re happy to pro-rate this travel time, but we find that runs from your doorstep work for most people.

Generally our runs go for 1 hour, unless they require transit to a trail. If you have a smaller dog, we can accommodate for shorter runs. The beauty of living in Kirkland, and the Seattle Eastside in general, is that we’re quite close to most trails and we can get a good run in any location. We can increase the time as needed, and it depends on what you and your dog want.

You can provide a typical harness for us to attach your leash to, instead of a neck collar – which will provide more freedom your dog. You can provide a raincoat for your dog (not required), and you can leave a towel at your door/mud room. We have everything else covered.
OPTIONAL: If you’re serious about dog trail running and canicross: after your evaluation you could invest in a “canicross harness“, which will allow your dog the freedom to move faster as it lowers their center of gravity and they can “pull” us forward on every stride which makes it easier for your runner to run faster as well – this is not required. You’d still attach your dog’s typical neck collar, this canicross harness is strictly for trail running.

We’re not afraid of getting wet, and our gear permits us to stay wet and warm while drying quickly. We have multiple pairs of rain gear for rainy days, and we warm up in our cars between walks.

For your dogs, muddy paws will be wiped with shop clothes and bellies + legs will be wiped with a towel that you provide. We don’t have the ability to stock clean and dirty towels and they get quite stinky in the car so we do ask that you provide a towel and leave it accessible in your mudroom/entryway.

The only weather we may not be prepared for is a late December, early January snow & ice – for driving safety concerns as we’re on a hill. Your runner will communicate their comfort level here. We use traction devices on our shoes, so falling isn’t a risk for us.

Nope, we feel like that’s an unnecessary burden on you, and our online scheduling software makes it easy for us to work with any schedules. We will make recommendations based on your dog(s) energy level and based on how they’re doing at home after our runs. We don’t want to push your dog too hard, but we also want to make sure we’re tiring them out effectively throughout the week for you.

We only suggest dog running services for dogs that are 2 years or older because most (not all) dogs under 2 will struggle with attention span, they will likely pull on the leash which means runs will be less productive. If you still want to proceed knowing these limitations; we’re happy to accommodate and use our sessions as less of an exercise modality and more of a running training session.
